I stayed one day more than planned in Austin so that Michele and I could go to the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of a Texas. We saw a very interesting exhibit called Words/Matter, Latin American Art and Language. There were a couple pieces that I liked. Also part of the museum is a freestanding stone building with luminous stained glass, designed by Ellsworth Kelly. Evidently, this is a real destination for art lovers although for me, it wasn’t that exciting. After lunch at the museum cafe, we headed home. A fun, relaxing day.
